Nightjar Sauna

Cold Plunge

$12,250.00

Tenth-generation engineering. Heirloom-grade craft.

Nine versions came before this one. Each taught us something about filtration under real bather loads, sanitation in cold water, and what breaks when equipment runs 24 hours a day for years. Version ten is what's left when you've solved all of it.

A full commercial unit — the same machine we place in spas and athletic facilities — clad in hand-selected Grade A cedar so it belongs beside your sauna, not hidden behind it.

It's never been this beautiful to be this cold.

  • Designed as the second half of a sauna. Same cedar, same stains, same hands.
  • Commercial equipment, residential grace. 1 HP chiller, stainless tub, rust-proof aluminum frame.
  • 170 gallons — where the category's best-known plunges hold 105–110.
  • Water chemistry we publish. The actual protocol, free. Read the Water Guide.

Performance

Cold that holds. The oversized 1 HP chiller pulls to 36°F and stays there — through triple-digit Texas summers, back-to-back sessions, and a Michigan January that would kill lesser equipment. Indoors or out, year-round.

Circulation that never sleeps. The pump runs 24/7 by design — there is deliberately no off switch. Continuous circulation keeps water polished, ozone effective, and pipes freeze-proof.

Sanitation, sized to your use. Residential plunges run chemical-free on integrated ozone. As bather load rises, our published water treatment plan scales the protocol from a private backyard to forty plunges a day.

Delivery & Lead Time — under 30 minutes to first plunge

1 · Place. Arrives fully assembled — longer hauls ship crated, and the only assembly is the handle. These are heavy, wide units: we confirm doorways, gates, and the path in before it ever ships.

2 · Fill. Garden hose to the etched line — about 10 minutes. Plug into your dedicated 20A GFCI outdoor circuit.

3 · Plunge. Set your temperature and you're in the water the same day. Most people start at 50–55°F; the seasoned crowd lives in the mid-40s and below.

Hand-built to order — current lead time 6–8 weeks. Shipping from $250 by distance and crating. A deposit locks your build slot.

Studios, Gyms & Spas

This is the commercial unit — we don't make a lighter one. 170-gallon buffer, lockable lid, tamper-proof controls, and sanitation configurable for high bather loads. Ask about high-bather-load water treatment and health department documentation.

Cold water is a genuine physiological stressor. Consult a doctor if pregnant or managing cardiovascular, blood pressure, or respiratory conditions. Never plunge alone. Nightjar cold plunges are wellness equipment, not medical devices.
